Raquel advises private businesses, professional corporations and not-for-profits on various corporate and commercial matters. She assists with contracts, leases, and managing their corporate structure and players. Raquel acts for owners on the purchase of a new venture or the sale of their existing business. She works closely with senior management to identify opportunities while minimizing risks to the enterprise. She also advises their owners on estate planning and real estate matters.
Raquel received her JD from Osgoode Hall Law School, where she received the Dean's Gold Key Award. While at Osgoode, Raquel served as the editor-in-chief of the Obiter Dicta newspaper.
Prior to attending law school, she worked in the legal and audit departments of a national retail company. She graduated with distinction from McGill University with a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance). While at McGill, Raquel was active in The McGill Tribune, occupying the roles of writer, Features Editor and finally Managing Editor.
Raquel is a member of the Ontario bar.
